Geotechnical and Hydrogeology monitoring

The first step in every construction project is the foundation works. In this stage, the ground (soil and/or rock) is prepared for the new infrastructure. Foundation works can be simple as packing some fill material or very complex as deep excavations in soft sensitive soils.

To guarantee the safety and performance of earthworks, as well as to optimise production and operation, different monitoring solutions can be used for every physical problem in question. GEN offers a wide range of solutions based on our own sensors and world leader manufacturers, all full integrated in our cloud platform. The main Geotechnical and Hydrogeology monitoring areas can be summarised below.

Today, automatic measurement solutions are more cost-effective than traditional manual solutions. They provide more flexibility as well as near real-time feedback. Nevertheless, GEN also offers manual measurements for most common applications, according to our clients needs.

Below is a list of the most common sensors used in infrastructure projects by application area.
